A Prayer for Salvation

Dear God,

I know I have done some wrong things you call sIn.

I just haven't lived for You. I have lived for myself.

I need your forgiveness and

I want to know and experience Your presence.

I want to be sure of heaven. I want to fulfill my destiny.

I want to have Your character qualities. I don't really have them now.

I recognize I need to accept Jesus' Sacrifice of dying on the cross

as my only way to you. I can never be good enough to pay that price.

Forgive me now. Cleanse me of guilt and give me a new life.

One with peace and joy and purpose.

Thank you for paying the penalty I deserved. I am grateful.

I will follow and do what you show me. I will start now.

Give me my first steps.

Amen
